John Tavares has arrived

John Tavares has arrived with five goals and two assists in four games while displaying unbelievable offensive acumen for the New York Islanders. I've been watching a lot of the Islanders as I've been a Tavares fan since his junior days and I think he has one of the most unparalleled minds for the game. If you're a fantasy hockey player, consider going big on getting Tavares now because he's going to be untouchable in most leagues by the mid-point of the season. Tavares shows a freakish ability to go unnoticed in the offensive zone and then seemingly come out of nowhere with a perfect pass or to be in the perfect spot to snipe a goal. If you get an opportunity, catch an Islanders' game in the near future as there's some really special things going on with that team including the beginning of a prodigy's ascent to greatness in the best league in the world.

Also keep your eyes on Josh Bailey who's come out of nowhere to play very dominant hockey and form an excellent one-two-three punch down the middle with Tavares on the top line and Doug Weight on the third line. Bailey was scoring at a point per game pace before suffering a hip injury that held him out of the lineup for a week or so. However at the time of this writing except Bailey back in the line-up as soon as tomorrow.
